Care facilities and job information
Miyakejima Hydrangea Association, a social welfare organization
Special Nursing Home for the Elderly - Ajisai no Sato
For specific skills and international students
The elderly population in Miyake Village is about 40%. Compared to Tokyo, local welfare services are limited, but you can experience the improvement and practice of Japanese-style nursing care techniques.
Would you like to join us in supporting our users living on Miyakejima to live a better life?
Currently, more than half of the Japanese and foreign staff working here are people who have moved from outside the island. Life on a remote island can be tough, but it also offers the opportunity to experience the richness of nature (dolphins, whales, and sea turtles in the sea, giant trees, wild birds, angelica trees, and more in the mountains).
We have many kind Japanese seniors as well as Filipino and Burmese seniors, so if you would like to work with us, please feel free to apply.
We have staff accommodation available for you.
Equipment outline
Since it was designed before the implementation of the long-term care insurance system, it does not support unit-type facilities. All facilities are made up of multi-bed rooms.
The special nursing care section has 10 four-person rooms, four two-person rooms, and two single-person rooms.
The capacity is 50 people.
・Short stay (short-term residential care)
This is an associated project of the "Ajisai no Sato Special Nursing Home for the Elderly."
All the facilities used are the same as those used in special nursing homes.
The facility can accommodate up to five people, and all rooms have multiple beds, just like special nursing homes.
It is also possible to temporarily use beds of nursing home residents who are absent for an extended period of time.
・Day service (day care)
Exercises to maintain daily living activities, individual functional recovery training,
In addition to handicrafts that use your hands and brains, there are also activities such as karaoke, games, and driving around the island.
We offer things that you can't experience at home, such as various seasonal events and visits from both inside and outside the island. We also provide bathing services and health management.
We hope that not only will our users be pleased with our service, but that it will also be of help with care at home.
The maximum capacity is 25 people, including care prevention.
